If you think biodiversity is just about sea lions and big birds, you may want to think again.  In an interview with Dr. Josh Neufeld, a microbial ecologist and assistant professor in Biology at the University of Waterloo, he explains that the real diversity – the kind that sustains life on planet Earth – can be found in just in a small handful of soil.
